Dr. Mariam Razaq is a board certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician., focusing on sports medicine. She has extensive training in regenerative medicine and the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostic purposes and as a tool for guiding treatment treatments that promote tissue healing.
She focuses on providing her patients with an integrative health care plan that includes elements of exercise, lifestyle awareness, nutrition, so that patients do not just manage pain and symptoms, but live a life without injury and chronic pain.
She is a firm proponent of integrative and holistic medicine, and relies on her osteopathic and sports medicine training to not just treat isolated areas, but the body as a whole. She firmly believes that each patient deserves compassion and to be treated as an equal partner in their health care journey.
Dr. Razaq, a native from upstate New York, graduated from Binghamton University (SUNY at Binghamton) and received her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her intern year at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York, she moved on to Georgetown University Hospital, completing her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with emphasis in sports medicine and diagnostic ultrasound.
Dr. Razaq then transitioned into private practice, while continuing further training alongside some of the forefront leaders in her field and maintaining a private practice. She has stayed current with cutting-edge technologies in order to bring her patients the best that medicine has to offer, in terms of diagnosis and minimally invasive treatments.
In addition to her professional career, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and staying active with her yoga and spin classes.
